Also lift straight up on each corner of the bed. If you feel play tighten the bolts, and if you're paranoid you can go under there and tighten the bed bolts anyway, or rather check the bolts for tightness.

I dont know about anyone else but 1/2 inch is very noticeable ( especially after i mock fitted the roll bar).and not acceptable so my truck is at a dealer authorized body shop getting straightened out. WebSep 10, 2005 · The truck needs to be parked on a level surface with no load (or at least loaded evenly) and all tires inflated evenly. Inspect for spring damage or shackle bushing wear. Measure vertically from the lowest point of the wheel rim (not from the ground) to the wheel lip. If the measurment is within 3/5" from side to side, no action is required.

WebCrooked Truck Bed. 2001 Ford Ranger. The bed is off maybe half an inch dropping towards the passenger side. Rear right tire sticks out about half an inch further than rear left. Recently had ball joints, shocks/struts and sway bar replaced. 6 months ago fuel pump replaced. Any thoughts would be appreciated! Thanks for posting on r/MechanicAdvice!
WebOct 12, 2024 · If it is that bad the first thing I would do is take a look at the frame for bends and then loosen the u bolts on the axle just enough to separate the axle and leaf springs to see if the locator pins are intact and seated. Usually it's ths drivers side, as that is where the fuel tank is located, and most trucks usually have a driver :rofl: Ford has a TSB on this. I even measured my wheel wells... from tire to fender flare its a 30mm difference, the driver side is way lower.
