It's spindle bearings are designed to work with vertical loads. It's not a good idea for milling, which involves horizontal or side loading of the spindle. The bearings, even on a top quality drill press, will fail quickly by trying to do metal milling.

WebI've used it for 2 years, no issues. You gotta get a system down and your heart skips a beat when you hit a bump because the whole thing moves quite a bit, but I've gone on 300+ mile trips with no issue. Definitely worth the money. I used the same HF bike carrier for my DR350 on the back of a 4Runner.
