It's not impossible to write left sided underhand, but in my experience, it doesn't feel as nice. I'd much more recommend trying to practice writing with your right hand. WebSome pens write nicely out of the box. Particularly, Platinum 3776 was great from first minute of unpacking, without multiple flushing/re-filling cycles. But from my rather rough experience, Sailor Pro Gear slim is not in this gang. First pen I bought, was very unstable. Sometimes it writes, sometimes it's very dry and painful to use. WebHowever, it looks almost like the slit is cut on a slight angle; this doesn't necessarily mean the pen won't write perfectly well, but does seem a bit less than optimal. I would consider sending the pen back for a new nib, assuming it's a new pen. Last bit: these are not nibs that are designed for reverse (upside-down) writing, especially an EF ...
