WebThere are GPA floors for the different honors levels (3.3 for cum laude, 3.5 for magna and 3.8 for summa), but these apply to overall GPA and not only in major. Students can be recommended for higher levels of honors based on their theses (for example, a student with a 3.3 but a really strong thesis may be awarded magna in some cases).
